The Gender + Sexuality Data Lab is a hub for researchers, practitioners and creatives engaged in critical work on collecting, analysing and using gender, sex and sexuality data.
Led by Dr Kevin Guyan, the Lab’s consultancy activities include the design and analysis of staff surveys and diversity monitoring exercises; report writing and policy development; and delivery of workshops, talks and keynotes.
We are passionate about projects that equip people to expose the differential impacts of data, AI and other technologies on gender and sexual minorities and empower them to build something better.
Our work is accessible, informed by evidence and driven by the desire to not just report on the world but to change it.
Past projects/clients include:
- Vodafone Foundation
- Google Cloud
- IBM
- International Association of Privacy Professionals
- Alteryx
- Snowflake
- DNEG

Consultancy income goes towards Lab activities such as research, creating paid opportunities for researchers/practitioners interested in gender and sexuality data, and organising public events. The Gender + Sexuality Data Lab cannot provide legal advice.
