Overview

To mark the launch of Kevin Guyan’s new book Rainbow Trap (author of Queer Data), join us for a panel discussion exploring queer lives, classifications and the dangers of inclusion.

Rainbow Trap Book Cover

The panel will explore how gender, sex and sexuality categories are designed and (mis)used across policy, law and data. And what lies ahead? Should we try to fix categories to make them fairer or are these classification systems beyond repair?

The event is co-organised by the Gender + Sexuality Data Lab (University of Edinburgh) and Queer Data Lab (NYU).

Everyone is welcome.
